Please note that the Store in Dunchurch will be closed from 13:00hrs on Wednesday 24th December 2014 re-opening at 10:00hrs on Tuesday 6th January 2015.

On-Line purchases via our website www.lyttlesofdunchurch.co.uk are still available, if in stock, and will be shipped normally whilst allowing for Royal Mail and Parcel Force services over the holiday period.

HoEFFS - Fly Tying Programme 2014/15

Last Wednesday evening saw the Heart of England Fly Fishing School (HoEFFS) in action with its first Demo Evening of the this years Fly Tying Programme. It was great to see both Improvers and Entry Level Beginners turn out to see Frank Moors turn on the charm with 3 great Trout and Grayling patterns - a Black Magic Spider, a CDC Floating Croxia and a Welsh Witch. The Step by Steps will shortly be Emailed out to those who attended.

Next week sees HoEFFS Fly Tying Programme in full swing with Entry Level, Improvers and Salmon Master Class sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening respectively.

New Products Coming Soon

Last week Paul and I set off on a LoD road trip to Mitton Hall Hotel in Whalley, on the banks of the Ribble (near to Blackburn) as guests of Guide Fly Fishing.

We had the opportunity to see the complete range of products that they supply from Sage, Rio, Vision, Reddington and C&F, and to meet the representatives from each company who talked us through the whole of the current range.

There are, as ever, many new developments and some additions to the ranges, and inevitably a few of the products drop out of the range to make way for new improved versions.  Over the next week or two Paul will be flicking through the glossy brochures trying to decide what we really ought to offer to you, and I will be entering the shiny new rods, reels, and trick bits of clothing and tackle on to the website for you to browse (and buy).  Paul will be featuring a few of the products in particular for short reviews which will be publicised further on Facebook and Twitter.
