A size 12 pattern representing the yellow sedge. The body is formed by yellow dyed grizzle hackle palmered down the shank and then trimmed to shape. Two golden badger hackle points are tied in, sloping back over the hook shank, to form the wing. The fly is completed by a yellow foam head and thorax which makes this a very visible fly. Fish this pattern to rising fish or use it as an attractor pattern to bring up those reluctant rises. This pattern works well on rivers, streams and lakes from late May to September.
