This pattern is tied on a size 8 hook and could represent several flies from large Sedge to a moth, with perhaps a pin fry in between. The fly consists of cream deer hair wing, body and tail, a cream cock hackle at the thorax which is then palmered down the body. Cast this fly to moving fish in the margins of large reservoirs or small stillwater's. The retrieve should be varied, sometimes not moving at all, a dead drag free drift, whilst other times stripping it back very fast. The takes when they come can be explosive, so reasonable heavy leader breaking strain can be required. This fly can be used from the start of the season to the finish.
