This pattern is tied on a size 10 hook and represents a nymph or a drowned adult. The classic wet fly style with the mobile soft hackle at the head is more than complemented by the Firefly yellow hot head bead and the florescent tail. Fish the pattern on the middle dropper of a team of three or use as a single fly on a long leader. Fish will take this pattern as an emerging caddis, a drowned stillborn or even because they like the colors, whatever the reason they still take the fly. This is mainly a reservoir pattern but it would also catch on rivers. The warmer months of the year would be the most productive time to use it.
