A size 12 pattern imitating an adult male Damselfly. The fly consists of a vivid blue dyed hair, detached, body and a white cock hackle tied parachute style, using the bump of the thorax as a post. This pattern is at its best on lakes, when the naturals are fluttering just above the water surface. Sometimes trout ignore the adult damselfly but sometimes they will take them, even leaving the water to take them in the air. Fish the fly near the margins of the lake; near any reed or lily beds. The warmer summer evenings are the most productive times for this fly.
