This pattern is tied on a size 10 hook and is a general nymph and attractor pattern. A Firefly yellow, hot head beard start this fly followed by an emerging yellow Antron wing. The rest of the fly is more conventional consisting of a gold ribbed hare's ear body and a tail of hare's ear guard hairs. Fished just subsurface, trout will take this pattern as an emerging Sedge or an emerging Pond or Lake Olive. Fished deeper on a sinking line, possible as part of a team, trout will take it as a nymph but also the bright colors will stimulate their aggressive instincts. This fly will be best used on a lake and can prove effective all season.
