A size 14 fly that is general nymph pattern. A body of peacock herl, a thorax of hare's ear dubbing and a pearly shellback give this fly a very natural appearance with a bit of flash. Fish this fly just subsurface, during a hatch of up-winged or Sedge flies. The pearly shellback suggests air bubbles in the fly, just prior to hatching. The fly should be retrieved very slowly to match the speed of the natural insect. This pattern is suitable for use on both rivers and reservoirs and can be used from early spring to late autumn.
