This pattern is tied on a size 10 hook and is a representation of a Damsel nymph. Olive/yellow marabou is tied in for the tail with four strands of gold tinsel to give it extra lift. The body and the thorax consist of a pearl shellback stretched over olive dubbing. The head of the fly is a Firefly yellow Hot Head bead, immediately behind the bead is the Firefly’s Duck ‘n’ Dive collar. Cast this fly on either a floating line or a very slow sinker and retrieve in a jerky style. This will cause the collar to force the fly up and down in the water, the commotion of which will attract very aggressive takes from the trout. This lake pattern can be used all season.
