This pattern is tied on a size 12 hook and represents an emerging buzzer or nymph. The body of this fly is a mixture of hare's ear and Lite Brite dubbing giving it a very “buggy” appearance shot through with flashes of irradiance. Over the eye and the bend of the hook grey CDC is tied in, giving the “Shipman's style to the fly. Fish this fly with no retrieve to trout moving in the in the surface film. It will be taken as an emerging insect with great enthusiasm. The fly can be used on both lakes and rivers all season long.
