This pattern is tied on a size 10 hook and represents an emerging or egg laying Sedge. The body and the thorax of the fly is dubbed in a light tan colour, the wing is a natural grey CDC feather. The thorax has a light brown cock hackle palmered along it. This, allied to the CDC wing, makes this fly a very good floater even in turbulent water. Fish it to rising fish in the late afternoon and on in to the evening. Takes will tend to be explosive, as trout do not like to let large meals get away. This fly can be used on lakes and rivers, whenever the naturals are present on the water.
