This pattern is tied on a size 14 hook and is a general nymph representation. The body is hare’s ear dubbing, the tail and legs are hares ear guard hairs. This pattern can be used to represent the nymph of most of the upwinged flies and can cover a big percentage of the caddis pupae. On rivers fish it singly,on a long leader using a dead drift style of presentation. On lakes fish it as part of a team at any point on the leader using a slow figure of eight retrieve. This pattern can be used all year long.
