A size 8 fly that is a general large nymph or small lure pattern. The body is formed using cream chenille: the thorax is orange chenille with a brown hen hackle wound through it. The cream chenille from the body is taken over the thorax to form a wing case and force the hackle down to suggest the legs of the nymph. If the classic nymph line of this fly fail to produce takes from trout, the combination of colors and the mobility of the hackle will not. Cast this fly to moving fish, using a floating line and a long leader. This fly is suitable for use on lakes and reservoirs and can be used all season.
