Caddis Larva Brown

£1.16

A size 10 pattern imitating the Caddis pupae. Although the name of the fly is Lava, and it would pass as a small lava representation, it is as a pupa just about to hatch that this pattern represents best. The fly consists of a body of beige fur with a gold rib, partially covered by a folded turkey wing and finished off with partridge for the hackle and swept back antenna. Fish the fly just subsurface, immediately after a hatch of medium brown Sedges have commenced. Trout will take this pattern with confidence especially at the start of a hatch. This fly can be used on lakes, rivers and streams from late May through to the end of October.
