A size 10 fly that can represent a floating nymph, a dead baitfish or even be used as a floating lure. The tail is orange hackle, the under body is black dubbing with an over body of black foam. The thorax of the fly is orange synthetic dubbing, dubbed in long and spiky with a wing case over it of closed cell orange foam. The head of the pattern will sit in the surface film, with the abdomen hanging down into the water at an angle of about 40 degrees. Fish will hit this pattern hard, whether taking it as an emerger, a dead bait fish or hitting it out of pure aggression. This lake pattern can be used all season.
